Need a little extra motivation before you hit the gym? Grab a cup of Joe (or two!). According to a new study,
published in the Journal of Applied Physiology, coffee may make your workout a little more fun.
During the study, researchers found that the subjects who
drank the equivalent of two cups of coffee
90 minutes before a stationary bike session felt that their workout was
much easier compared to when they weren't caffeinated. In fact, they
also said they enjoyed it.

But the coffee benefits didn't stop there. The researchers also
tracked the subjects' calorie intake for the rest of the day. And after
their pre-caffeinated workout, the participants were given a sandwich
buffet.
It turns out that caffeine not only gives you a boost to get
through an intense workout, but it also might curb your appetite:
Subjects ate an average of 72 calories less than when they were given a
placebo caffeine pill.
More energy and you eat less? We'll drink (a cup of coffee, of course!) to that.
